My psychotherapy practice is based in London close to Hackney Central station with easy access from Clapton, Homerton, Dalston, Shoreditch, London fields and Stoke Newington.
what’s the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
Both of these terms are often used interchangeably, but broadly speaking psychotherapy is more in depth work and takes more time than counselling. Depending on what you bring to therapy we can discuss which approach works best for you and whether you would like to come for counselling to address a specific issue or prefer more open ended psychotherapy.
do i have to draw in sessions?
Not at all. Some clients find that working with art materials (art therapy/art psychotherapy) really helpful and can provide emotional relief and perspective. However other people prefer to talk as you would find in a more traditional psychotherapy or counselling setting.
session length, fee & payment methods
Sessions are weekly, last 50 minutes and are £60 per session. Payments are made on the day of the session in cash or by bank transfer.
cancellations & endings
I require at least 48 hours (2 business/week days) for sessions you are unable to attend or would like to reschedule.
There is no fixed, allotted time for psychotherapy and it can therefore be ended at any time. I do however ask that we have 2 - 4 sessions at the end to work through an ending process.
